Scuplture Bar Opens

The Sculpture Bar at the National Gallery of Australia has officially opened.

Conceived by Fiona Wright and Jeremy Paul of Ten and a Half Catering, the Bar is open during summer evenings in the Sculpture Garden of the National Gallery of Australia. After recently winning the NGA's functions tender, Wright and Paul made the inspired suggestion to use this fantastic outdoor space ex-Gallery hours, creating a hip new addition to Canberra's social scene.

Surrounded by the odd Rodin and a few Maillols, guests will soon be enjoying a series of intimate live shows by some of Australia's best loved Jazz musicians.

Pinkerton provided a suite of light but sturdy Ottomans for the project which could be easily packed and unpacked by staff each night.

Tall as a Gum

Quite possibly the most embarrassing opening paragraph Stu could have expected, but a great article nonetheless from the legendary Neil Jameson, in last week's Herald. Click on the images below and they'll open in a new window at a larger reading size.
