Stu was invited to present at the Hunter Design School
last night, as part of its own going "Inside Industry" series of talks.
The Hunter Design School is run by Donna Burrell, who we worked with on
Scarborough Winery,
and runs a series of accredited long and short courses on interior
design and photo media. In addition to the ubiquitous powerpoint, Stu
also brought along some timber samples and performed the very simple but
effective "look at what happens when you spray water on a thin piece of
timber" trick. By the end of the talk it had curled over on itself - a
potent reminder of how timber never really dies and that designers need
to take into account movement whenever they use timber. Thanks to Jess
for organising, it was fun!
