Recycled Hardwood Shelving

A small but lovely project for a residential client who was after some interesting storage solutions for two tricky parts of her beautiful home in Cooks Hill. The first set of shelves gives life to a dead zone under the stairs, and shows off the owner's collection of art books and artifacts from her travels in Asia, while the second set is tucked in as a return at the end of the kitchen cupboards and is reserved for cook books and wine. Bottles are displayed either by stacking or cantilevered via neck holes in a back panel. Both shelves use recycled Australian hardwoods in reddish tones and are finished with a natural hard wax.
